Tom Holkenborg aka Junkie XL is a Grammy nominated producer/ musician. Junkie XL was originally known for Trance productions and moved to produce music and film scores recently. Recently Junkie XL produce for Deadpool movie. He have to make music that is fun according the movie requirement. Junkie XL use clone of Arp 2600

synthesizer.

Arp Instruments is an American manufacturer of electronic musical instruments and founded in 1969. ARP 2600 is a semi-modulator analog synthesizer. Unlike other Modular systems Arp 2600 require modules to be purchased individually and wired by the user. 2600 was the ideal for musicians new to synthesis due to it’s ability to operated either with or without patch cords.

For the Deadpool movie soundtrack Maximum Effort he came up with the riff on the synth then he adjust attack, decay, and initial frequency filter to get the sound he want.

He use Oberheim OB-Xa which in made in 1980 and used for the thick sound in the track. Then he sample back on his computer for that sound and replay it.
