Studio Diary (26th October 2016)

We started our first recording session of Sound A Like (AUD210) project on 26th of October. We recorded drum on that day. Outcome was satisfied at the end of the day and It was really fun session, good memories and love to work with others too. Before the session I have a bit of pressure since I’m working as Daw Operator. Because I have to prepare for the session and even there’s some mistake about misunderstanding between me and producer with that the track we are going to record. There are different versions, I put the wrong one and we just fix it on the spot. It’s a waste of few minutes but we made our session done in time. I prepare ProTools template before the session with the tracks ins and outs, microphone names in the comment session and tempo mapping for the beginning. So it helps me a lot during the session since I have prepare most of the stuffs before I jump into the recording session. So during the session most of my part is to record the tracks and make different takes properly on Pro Tools. Everything go well during the session and I’ve done pretty good on the day. But we can have a better session if team members

communicate before the session more. So we can share our each other plans.
